But what she stands to gain—finding out what happened to the missing teen, clearing her aunt’s name, and a second chance at belonging—could change everything. 

The Mystic and the Missing Girl by Vikki VanSickle is a fun and engaging mystery that blends traditional sleuthing with psychic abilities and tarot readings. I especially enjoyed Drew, whose name is a nice play on Nancy Drew and feels fitting for a young detective determined to uncover the truth. The psychic elements were one of my favorite parts. The tarot readings add an intriguing layer to the investigation without taking away from the mystery itself, and I thought they were especially cool.

I also appreciated seeing a character persevere through grief rather than allowing it to completely stop them. Drew's determination to keep searching for solutions gives the story an emotional depth that works nicely alongside the mystery. Overall, this is an enjoyable read with a unique supernatural twist, memorable characters, and plenty of heart.
