The Case of the Christie Curse by Kelly Oliver is an engaging historical mystery that blends literary intrigue with a clever whodunit. There is a movie Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar, where Agatha meets her second husband Max Mallowan. I honestly feel like this author and the movie writer(s) are on the same wavelength. Though Oliver adds other characters that should be familiar to the reader by now. Dorothy L Sayers, Eliza, Theo, and the beagle Queenie are the obvious ones.
Wonderfully plotted, smooth pacing, and a particular tense scene make this an enjoyable read. There is finally a resolution for long-time readers (personally THANK YOU!) All of which combines with the world of antique thievery.
Overall, I rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars.
